Ellesse is Re-launching in USA. Chris Evert Creates a New Clothing Line for the Brand

Those who are looking into the latest things tennis fashion world offers would be glad to know that Italian brand Ellesse re-launches in the USA. Chris Evert, former No.1, who was a brand ambassador in 1980-s and is remembered to wear sleeveless tops and pleated skirts by Ellesse became a minority shareholder in Ellesse North America and even created her clothing line which will hit the store shelves sometime in 2012.

Meanwhile, Ellesse will launch a limited collection that will arrive in select stores in time for Christmas. However, don't expect to see type of clothing we used to see on Ellesse brand ambassadors, Nadia Petrova and Galina Voskoboeva. The initial release will be rather classic, consisting of traditional, all-white tennis clothes, and will include a pleated skirt and sleeveless top for women, and polo shirt and two different shorts for men. The brand's tennis shoes are set for release in the fourth quarter of 2012. Price points for the apparel have not yet been finalized, but Ellesse will likely cost a bit more than tennis apparel from Lacoste and a bit less than Ralph Lauren.
